Feline Insights: Mastering Cat Behaviour for the Veterinary Team

Whether due to a lack of time or shortage of training on the subject, behaviour queries from pet owners can strike fear into even the most experienced veterinary staff member! So join Protexin Veterinary and Clinical Animal Behaviourist Rosie Bescoby to discuss how you can manage cat behaviour in practice.

Rosie is a qualified Clinical Animal Behaviourist with a degree in Zoology & Psychology from the University of Bristol & a Post-Graduate Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling from Southampton University. She is an ASAB Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist, a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors, a member of the Professional Association of Canine Trainers, and registered as both a Clinical Animal Behaviourist & as an Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour & Training Council (representing trainers & behaviourists to both the public & to legislative bodies).

Rosie has benefitted from working with some of the world’s most respected Clinical Animal Behaviourists & Veterinary Behaviourists. She regularly contributes to magazines (both pet owner and veterinary publications including peer-reviewed journals), and features on TV and radio. She is frequently a guest lecturer for veterinary students, vet nursing students, and animal behaviour and training students. Alongside her private behaviour work, she also acts as an external behavioural advisor for rescue centres, providing assessments, working hands-on with the animals and conducting staff training. However, the majority of her work is through veterinary practices, both providing a behaviour service and helping veterinary staff gain the skills and knowledge needed to provide a behaviourally-aware service.
